From the Californian Siemens Mobility site in Sacramento, massive accusations have been reaching the works councils and the IG Metall in Germany. Despite many efforts to this end, it is not easy to obtain a reliable picture from the distance based on contradictory information from the management and trade unions - clarification is needed.

On June 3rd/4th, 2024, the Negotiation Committee of the Central Works Council of Siemens Germany and representatives of the IG Metall met the representatives of the unions of Siemens in China in Shanghai.The meeting took place under the International Framework Agreement of Siemens; 16 union representatives from China took part.

On May 7th, a meeting of representatives of IG Metall, the Works Council of Siemens Germany, the US unions IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers), USW (United Steel Workers), IAM (International Association of Machinists) and IBB (International Brotherhood of Boilermakers), the management of Siemens USA and US government officials took place at the IBEW building in Washington D.C..

On April 16th/17th 2024, 33 delegates of the Siemens Europe Committee (SEC) met in Erlangen, Germany, for the 30. meeting of the SEC.

Three negotiating Spanish unions (CCOO, ELA and UGT) and the HR of Siemens Games Renewable Energies have signed an agreement for corporate offices for the period 2024 - 2026. Both sides are satisfied with the agreement that, despite the current complex situation, means improvements for the entire workforce in different areas.

On September 13th/14th, 2023, the European Works Council (EWC) of Siemens Energy had its annual meeting in Brande, Denmark. 28 delegates from 17 countries (Germany, Spain, UK, Denmark, Sweden, Portugal, Austria, Hungary, Norway, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Croatia, Netherlands, Poland, Bulgaria and Romania) took part in the meeting. Only one delegate from the UK was missing.

On May 3rd/4th, 32 delegates from 22 countries* met for the annual meeting of the “Siemens Europe Committee” (SEC) in Sibiu, Romania. Harald Kern, president of the “Siemens Europe Committee” (SEC), opened the meeting, which was his last before his retirement at the end of the year.

On April 12th/13th, the annual meeting of union representatives from Siemens and Siemens Energy locations in the US and Canada took place in Chicago. Representatives of the unions IBEW, IUE-CWA, USW, IAM, UAW and IBB met with the union representatives from Germany Harald Kern, Bettina Haller and Mimon Uhamou (all IG Metall). Nadine Florian (Siemens Energy, IG Metall) took part in the meeting per video.

On March 3rd, 2023, delegates of the Siemens Europe Committee (SEC) from the Czech Republic and Germany met with the Executive Committee of the SEC in Munich for the information and consultation of the management concerning the carve-out of several business fields of Siemens and the formation of the new subsidiary company Innomotics.

On October 24th/25th, 2022, union representatives of Siemens and Siemens Energy in the US and Canada met in Las Vegas with union representatives of IG Metall from Germany. This was the first meeting after more than two years of interruption caused by the Covid-19 restrictions.
