On March 22nd/23rd 2018, 23 union representatives from Germany, UK, Austria, Spain, Switzerland, France, Slovakia, Portugal, Denmark and Norway met at Munich to discuss internally and with the management the designated carve-out of the Siemens Mobility Division.

During the meeting concerning job cuts at PG, several members of the SEC and/or other workers' representations commented the overall and local situation:

On February 6th/7th, an extended meeting of the Executive Board of the Siemens European Committee took place at Munich to discuss internally and with the management the situation at the Power and Gas division in Europe and the announced job cuts.

On December 8th, 2017, 23 union representatives from Spain, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands met at Munich to discuss with the management of Siemens Gamesa the an-nounced restructuring of Siemens-Gamesa which includes 6 000 job cuts worldwide.

On November 16th/17th 2017, union representatives from Siemens locations in Brazil, Argentina and Chile met at Santiago de Chile. Kan Matsuzaki, the responsible director of IndustriAll, had organized this meeting hosted by the union Constramet from Chile.

Unions from Siemens India bring forward their demands: On September 4th/5th 2017, the meeting according to the Siemens International Framework Agreement (IFA) for India took place in Mumbai.

After continuous cooperation with IG Metall and the German Central Works Council, Siemens and 5 US unions signed a codicil agreement additional to the International Framework Agreement. It guarantees the access of unions to non-unionized facilities and the free choice of the employees towards unions without pressure from the company's side through anti-union consultants or other activities.

Shop floor representatives and officials of the unions IBEW, USW, IUE-CWA, IAM and UAW from the US and Canada met together with Harald Kern (Central Works Council of Siemens Germany) and Dirk Linder (IG Metall) on May 22nd/23rd 2017 in Phoenix.
